Normally you have to start browser (either IE or Firefox or any other browser) to browse sites. Then you enter the URL in address bar to view the site. But if you are working on Windows Explorer then you don’t need to start browser to view a site. Now you can invoke the site from Windows Explorer itself. It is easy and simple.

Steps to invoke site:

– You can type the website URL in the Windows Explorer Address bar and Enter.

-It will immediately open the site in Default browser.

It will open browser (Facebook.com and Google.com) like this-

 

 

Note: This is verified in Windows 7.

Actually not only this, you can open any Windows application such as command prompt  by typing cmd or notepad or Excel in address bar of Windows explorer and it will immediately open the application.
