The AllowScriptsAuthAccess build option is not supported in API versions greater than 4.0.

I edited the existing build pipeline to add a BASH script task. After adding the task and the variables, when I tried to “Save & queue”, it showed the below message-

“The AllowScriptsAuthAccess build option is not supported in API versions greater than 4.0.”

Solution:

Either login to online VSTS (Azure DevOps) in separate browser or close the browser and open it again. It starts working. It saves the changes and queues the the request for build generation. Real reason is not known for this problem.
